You should be able to release the impulse coupling, allowing you to set the points. On the Mag. with a BH or BX Coupling, at the drive end of the Mag. is an exposed Pawl which can be released with your finger and on the automatic type coupling, release and slide forward the cover which reveals the tail end of the pawl. Press down on this pawl any time you want to turn the Mag. over by hand. The point gap is 12 to15 Thou. Hope this is some help.From my information the only other main difference between these two tractors was the inclusion of a water pump on the 22-36.
