Dan, The Farmall 140 High Clear did not use a chain drive. It used taller wheels and tires to get the additional clearance along with taller front standards. The gear ratios were the same as the regular Farmall 140 in each gear which made it have higher speeds in each gear due to the larger tire diameters. These features hold for the Farmall A / Farmall AV, Farmall Super A / Farmall Super AV, Farmall 100 / Farmall 100 High Clear, Farmall 130 / Farmall 130 High Clear, and Farmall 140 / Farmall 140 High Clear.
