There must be something major wrong with the tractor or it would never made it to the big storage area under the sky. I have a 986 and yes it is much smaller than what you referenced but generally the 86 series were good machines. The 986 has performed splendidly. However I caution you on your endeavor as the repair on a major component could excede the price of a smaller tractor that could meet your needs on your acreage. Remember that implements and maintenance are going to be proportionally more expensive too.
