McCormick Deering O-6/M Clutch Question

I have a McCormick Deering O6 that needs the cast carrier that the throwout bearing is pressed onto. Would one out of a Farmall M (same engine) work? The O6 has a hand clutch and the M has a foot clutch. Thanks in advance.
