In the coarse of restoring my '44 B I was sandblasting the flywheel this morning when I FINALLY discovered the factory timing marks of "DC" over "1-4" (I say finally because I've looked for them for years on both my A and B). Additionally I've located what appears to be a factory marking of a double-ended arrow extending almost the full width of the outside diameter of the flywheel in the area next to the ring gear and extending forward. Considering that the ring gear has 90 teeth and the two marks are 27 teeth apart, that would place this arrow at either 108 degrees after TDC or 250 degrees before TDC. Does anyone have a clue what the significance of this mark is ?? Thanks in advance, Eddie Petty, Courtland, Virginia
