Neef source for 12v to 6v drop resistor.

I have a 130 Farmall which has been converted to 12 volts, however, the coil is still 6 volts. I have seen several conversions done and most have a dropping resistor for the coil. Does anyone have a source for the resistor? Is it a good idea to put it on?
