The Nebraska test # 955 on the Farmall 706 with the D282 engine yielded 69.03 db hp and 76.09 pto hp. I do not have the Nebraska test results on the German engined 706 but I believe it was a negiliable difference in horsepower, two or three hp more at the most. Someone asked about how it compares to the Farmall 686. Test number 1336 on the Farmall 686 with the same German 309.6 cu in engine yielded 58.81 db hp and 66.36 pto hp. In the 706 this engine was rated at 2300 rpm while in the 686 it was rated at 2000 rpm. Harold H
