H Battery Box

I'll have to get a battery box made for my H, and I'm not sure how they are mounted. I notice there are four small, threaded holes in the Bellhousing near where I presume the box would fit. Does the box hinge out at all or is it just fastened permanently, and if so, would'nt the battery box lid be hard to remove?What are the approximate dimensions of the box? Thanks
