The tractor pulling forum guys are "donkeys" that will do nothing other then mouth on others. You would hate to give away a tip that could lose you $15! I would ditch the three point as well. Then I would sell it to me ;) (if it is not cobbled together) I really would get rid of it. It is extra weight, but at least it is in the right spot. I can't speak for H's bc I pull my SMTA WAY more often, but every Farmall I have ever pulled is nose heavy. Stack your weight on the rear axle. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME BUILDING A FRONT WEIGHT BRACKET!!! They are just for show. As for hitch height. Make it as high as possible, but keep in mind that the rules will dictate maximum height. It is usually 18-20".
