Your story reminded me of my treasured times with my grandfather and his H (now mine), and me watching every twist of a wrench and his explanation of life through our days of tractor tinkering. The nearby CaseIH dealer can get you reprints of parts catalog, operator manual, and service manual. All together I think they cost about $65, but pouring over the pictures and exploded diagrams made it seem worth it. Maybe you can encourage you son to keep a journal? A lot of fun to look at when he's 40.
