Hi all,
Several days ago I posted a question for some parts for my departed father-inlaw's tractor which has a lot of sentimental value to my wife's family. Thank You for all your response's. My mother-inlaw has since had a mechanic look at the tractor and gave her a list of material as well as my mother-inlaw tells me the tractor is a 1949 "Super C", I know from your responses that this is most likely impossible so I feel the year must be correct and the tractor has to be a "C". Well guys and gals, here's my shopping list. Any help or hints in aquiring these parts will be greatly appreciated. The tractor is located in Lebanon, CT.

(1) Axel P/N 375737R1 (37") (38" will work but 37" is more disirable. (right side?)

(1) Axel Cap P/N unknown

(1) Axel Housing P/N 351112R2 (Ride Side)

(1) Bearing Cage or Bearing Quill P/N 351100R1

(1) Six Bolt Bearing Retainer (for end of axel housing)

Thanks Again

Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract. ... [Read Article]
