Mark, I have original pictures of A's, AV's, SA's, and SAV's ranging from 1943 thru 1954. Every picture I have showing the right side of the A or Super A does not have this radius arm type brace. Every picture I have of the AV or Super AV does have this radius arm type brace from the bell housing to the front axle. It was to prevent the possability of the axle rolling due to it's additional height. I don't have any pictures of the right side of a AI so I can't comment on that. Harold H
