I agree with wood blocking. You'll probably find enough of these lying along the road to be able to build up your solid support. I've supported a TD-18 Dozer this way-they are solid, just be sure to either use large blocks or do a double crossing stack arrangement, sort of like shoring anything else. You have to anticipate that you may be doing some tugging and prying on the tractor with the wheel removed, so just be sure its solid. A little overkill for safety will be worth the extra time to make it solid.
