Dale - Is your hyd reservoir IH factory stock live hydraulic style (square cast iron tank located under the back end of the fuel tank)? If so, there should be a 1/2" elbow and filler pipe nipple on the left side of the tank. Don't know what the level should be (original filler cap and dip stick are long gone). I fill mine by idling the engine and listening to the pump. Add fluid until you stop hearing air in the pump (the pump stops growling), then add about 1 qt more. Add too much fluid and it simply spits it back out the filler cap. Probably not the correct procedure, but it's worked for me for many years...
