Thanks for the reply,, yes there are Farmall 544,I have a factory owners manual that shows Utility and standard as well as farmall types both gas and diesel gear drive and Hydro. I should have stated that mine is a utility gas geardrive and the front axel mount casting is totaly diffrent than the standard and the farmall, the steering cylinder hangs of the back of the axel with the cylinder moving left and right and the rod is pinned to the axel, it's hard to describe..The goal is to not change the casting, just install a new axel..
I was begining to think a 544 was to new a tractor to get an ansure here.
thanks also to any one who looked at the first message and thought about it but didn't have an ansure...Guess i'll have to build it myself.
