It depends on what you need and where you're at. I bought a stripped down block that I used my own crank, rods, cam and head on for $250 from a salvage yard. I added a new sleeve kit, bearings, and valve train. I ended up with as much money in it but ended up with a new head too. It all depends on what you've got to start with, and how much you want to put in it. BTW - the 354898R1 is the Super C block casting number. You will find it behind the oil filter. Stan(VA).
