You know we had exactly the same problem with the Australian built A554. The previous two tractors,namely SAWD6 & AWD7, were very reliable tractors but the A554 had the 264 motor revved to a rated 1800 revs and the extra H.P. soon found a weak link in the final drive. A recall had the ball bearings replaced with roller bearings and problem solved. That was in 1962 or 63.We were always a number of years behind.
