Them "static lines" has done been incorporated into the fuel delivery hose at the pump and provides a ground to dissipate any static charge - PROVIDED that you have the nozzle in contact with the metal rim of the filler on the tank. The biggest hazard in fueling a running vehicle, especially one with the tank directly over the distributor and exhaust manifold is: If you let it run over, or spill some, it runs right down to an ignition source. Then you have to re-paint whats left of your H.
