A finger can usually stand about 130-135 degree F(factory setting for an electric household water heater) which is too low for good running conditions for a tractor. I do not know where you are located but 130 F was only about 35F higher than the outside temp here in Carolina today. Get a thermometer and put it in the radiator a stop guessing. If you do not want to do that, leave the radiator in place and run the tractor for 15-20 minutes and then spit on the block. If the spit does not fry the temp is O K. The temp will be less than 212F (good operating temp)if the spit does not boil off immediately.
