Dear Jen: I have a 1946 Farmall M that I've restored and painted. "Live" hydraulics means running whenever the engine is running.Front end loaders were used to load manure into manure spreaders and all kinds of chores where height was necessary.Your loader should work fine with a hydraulic cylinder mounted on each side of the loader frame.Wood Brothers makes a belly mounted mower that fits a Farmall M, although your mower could probably be adapted to fit.Get some books as reference sourses on Farmall Tractors. They're the toughest tractor ever designed...will run virtually forever !! Enjoy yours...Elliott
