After you have installed the o-ring on the sleeve take a o-ring pick and get under the o-ring, then make one complete turn around the sleeve. This ensures that there are no twists in your o-ring. Also, lube o-ring with dish soap. Don't use oil or grease. The rubber o-rings swell when they are exposed to petroleum products. Use soap you can't go wrong.
