Is she my new ugly A, Help?

I just bought a place and a Farmall came with it. The seat is off set to the right, hydraulic arms are under the gas tank. The numbers I found under the seat are 286376 and below that on the tag is 1540. Is it an A? what year? Whats confusing me is theres another sticker with pat. numbers I think that says March 25 1941. Thats not the production date is it?
Shes a little worn, with a "slightly" cracked block (I just add some more fluid) but I have a great time and can tear up some ground. Thanks
