Mark, I had to make that same piece for my H. I haven't got a precise measurment for you but this is how I did it. I opened the shutters wide open and clamped a vise grip on them to hold them, then I turned the adjusting crank to the open position. I got a piece of flat stock that would fit through the slot in the rad, cut it the length to go from the arm out of the distributor housing to the shutter connection, I welded a piece of a hinge(I cut a hinge so I had a double loop, the shutter hole fits in the middle like the other half of the hinge would) on the end of the stock so a pin could drop through it attaching it to the shutter. At the other end drill a hole the size of the pin sticking out of the distributor housing arm. Once painted red it looks like the original. Good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario
