Pete & Ohioron, So Sorry!...must've been tired on that post of mine....No I don't retorque the rod caps after an overhaul....My book states two different torque settings for rod caps....
1. For castellated nuts (ones with cotter pins) setting is 40 to 45 ft. lbs.
2. For self locking nuts setting is 43 to 49 ft. lbs. Guess my eyes are worse than I thought.//FB
