1468 Engine

A while back we had a pretty good discussion about a 1468 that Jack and I saw at a Florida Flywheelers Swap Meet a week or so ago. I may have missed something, but I don't recall that we ever defined what engine that tractor had. Some said it was based on a 549 CID International engine. I have since heard that it was a Perkins engine, like the one used in the Massey-Ferguson 1155. Does anybody know for sure? Just as an added bit of info - Ford and Navistar have entered into a joint venture to build medium duty trucks in Mexico. Same chassis but different cabs. Stan
