Why do you want to check your compression? Is it starting hard? The reason I ask is that in order to check compression on a diesel you have to remove the injector and install a special adapter and gauge. If you suspect your compression is low in a particular cylinder, and it is missing you can determine if your it is a compression problem by taking an injector out of a cylinder that is firing properly and switching it with the cylinder that is missing. If the miss follows the injector, then you have a faltyinjector. If the miss stays in the same cylinder then you have a compression problem. Either rings or valves.
