YOu got it. On each of the B and BN, the left and right axles are the same length, but those on the BN are each 4"shorter than those on the B. This leads to a few other minor differences in the two tractors, i.e. the seat mounts coming up from the deck are a little different because of the closer fit to the fender. I'm not sure but the steering wheel bracket may have a little shorter offset, too, as well as the shaft over to both brakes.
