Jeb, I used to have the same problem. It happend when I'd be running the 350 hard, running the brush hog of doing alot of bucket work. I would run it hard and the just turn the motor off and she'd fill with fuel. A friend mentioned that could be a bad float in the carb. One thing I do is after runing it hard let the engine idle for a few minutes then turn it off. I never did check on the carb. I just don't have the problem any more.
