the parking brake is not related to yor shifting problems. You need to get a park brake kit to fix that problem. your shifting problem sounds like it is on the bottom side of the range transmssion cover. i'd take it apart and look at the shift cam and see if its is worn and if your missing any cam rollers. all you might need is a shift cam kit. i've rebuilt a a few tractors that did what yours does and those 2 kits fixed the problem.
