On the 1586 it is a major job to fix brakes, the on we had was "fixed" every 18 months, not a good record. I do not know if this was common or just our normal luck. It also had brearings go out in the trans and one set of main crank bearings changed on oil test results...
The good part is the 86 type cab is far better than the 66, and the seat finally moved forward for a better ride and easer to get in & out. the 66 was just some better than aftermarket cabs. When we traded up from a 1466 to the 1586 I didn't miss the 1466 very long!!!!!!!!!!!
