Dad loaned our cub to a friend of his and he hooked up a trailer to the seat and upset the tractor. Bent the radiator bad. We used that blue form a gasket and put it on thick, then we tightened the bolts and pulled it down as tight as we could. That held up for a couple of years, but the radiator was damaged elsewhere and I had to recore it. But the form-a gasket did well. If you leave the radiator cap loose there will be no pressure on the system, it will hold up longer
