there are several things that could cause play in a A FIRST look at the steering rod where it goes into the box if when you turn the wheel the shaft moves in and out very much take the big cap and check a big casalated nut and see if it is loose besides that theres only one bearing and two bushings besides the two gears.pretty good size job if you have to split the bos you have to take the axle out
