The first tractor I operated alone was a Farmall A.Pa told me he absolutely would not allow me to run ANY equipment alone until I was 13 years old and stuck to it.The day of my 13th birthday he had me take the A into the woods and bring home a load of firewood.I was not to drive any higher than 3rd gear even if I was on the road.We also had an AC WD and I wish I still had it!It had lots of power and was fun to drive-it would pull an 8ft quacker like it wasn't there. It had a New Idea loader on it also. The first tractor I actually owned myself is a Farmall 656.I'm getting spoiled with all the modern operating convieniences it has!
