Back in 1964 when I was a wee sprout, Grandpa let me steer his IH self propelled Combine when cutting beans. Since I was only 4 he had to work the pedals and "correct" my steering if I wandered out of the rows. I don't remember the exact model it was but I think it was like a 410 but had no cab. I do remember the dust! He also let me steer one of his Ms when cultivating. Later after he retired from farming and had a huge yard to mow, I drove his 1966 Cub lo boy. I cut that yard until I was 38 yrs old, but he had sold the cub and bought a kubota from a cousin around 83. I have the Kubota now but wish I had the cub!Dad bought a 51 Ferguson TO20 back in 78 or so and I spent many hours running the bushhog and also hauling firewood with the fork attachment we had for it.We have used it for years with no problems outside of a stick getting under the hood and puntching a hole in the battery. The first bigger(than the kubota) tractor I owned is a 29 10-20.I have since added a 35 F-12 to my fleet. I would love to find grandpas old f-20 or one of his Ms.
