Loosen mag and move all the way to the tractor engine. Remove center wire that runs from mag to the distributer. Remove #1 plug wire. Stick finger in plug hole and crank by hand until finger starts to get pushed out by compression...continue cranking until timing mark lines up on flywheel (or pulley). Now slowly move mag toward you until impulse coupler clicks over. Tighten mag, crank engine around again slowly and when #1 cyl. comes up to compression again and impulse coupler pops again, check your timing mark to see if it's on the mark.... You are now properly timed..
