49 H hydraulic problem

Having purchased my first tractor, I have ran into a problem trying to get both the front loader, with a trip bucket, and the 3 point hitch to operate independently. All I have on the tractor is the control arm, either push it in or pull it out. If anyone has any suggestions on this problem it would be greatly appreciated...
