I learned the ropes on an Allis Chalmers "C",was scuffling white beans for days at a time(two row scuffler). Dad set me to breaking it apart to put a new ring gear in it at age 14 and even though I became a teacher I have had a wrench in my hand ever since and have farmed for several years as well. I am retired from teaching and work as a mechanic at a friend's service garage. I own two H's an M ,a Case I-H 584 and a Case 300 loader tractor. There's grease under my fingernails and theres manure on my work boots, love cats and calves and old tractors...my life story in a paragraph Mike in Exeter Ontario
