The first tractor I drove was a B Cultivision, plowing corn. Slow but important work. Driving the B pulling the rope on the fork when putting up hay bales was a little more fun. But the first real job, where other workers depended on your skill, was driving the M pulling a skid to pick up bales of hay. Couldn't really operate the clutch on the M but the H didn't have enough to pull the skid loaded with 80 bales on a hill. Sometimes the panic maneuver was kicking in the switch to kill the tractor. My wife now sometimes does that! Left the farm, college, joined the Navy flew from carriers ( a lot faster than that B Farmall - more adrenaline involved) retired, bought a 49 M to work 10 acres, added SMTA, Dad's last tractor- restored 47 M, and an H (money pit!)yesterday found a 300!
