To get those bolts out. If you have the shaft and all out, or not just hold another hammer or some thing quite heavy on opposite side of the area next to the nut and give a good slap with hammer on other side, it will relieve the tension and pop right out. They are tapered bolts. I presume you want to replace the rubber cushions for the U-joint. If you are under the tractor, I used to have a long punch and hold it right next to the area I described and give a good swift rap, to pop them out. After you have the nuts loose of course. Did many of those years ago in the country when replacing clutches, on the H's and M's. Believe it or not in a nine hour day you could eight or nine tractors right on the farm. Usually always in spring. Don't know why. Ha Ha.
