I first put the old wheel on a piece of plywood
and marked each finger indent. Then I ground out
all the cracks and bad places. Then I filled in
with PC-7 (2 part), available in most hardware
stores. Sanded and filled, sanded and filled.
When I was satisfied with the smoothness of the
wheel I turned it over on the piece of plywood and
reground the finger grips with a drill with
approperiate diameter drum sander. Then paint.
