I'll bet the sleeves are sticking up above the block too far. Put a good straight edge across the top of each sleeve and use a feeler gauge to check the amount of "stick-up" It shoul;d be within the range of .003-.005 inches. When you mill the block you make the couterbores for the sleeves shallower and the sleeves stick up too high. The manifold side has the head studs close to it, on the plug side there is more gasket to compress and that's where it will leak. If they stick up beyond .005" you will have to remove them and trim the topps the proper amount.
