i have a 240 also, it's most likely your safety pressure release valve, it was sticking and building tremendous pressure, hence the heat on the pump, now it wont work, because the relief in the valve is sticking open, heres the fix: locate the valve and remove it (it should be on the inner right side next to the hydra touch spool), then take off the end cap with 4 bolts, it is under pressure, pull the guts out and lay on a towel, this is simple but sound hard, now take a piece of emory cloth or a heavy duty scotch brite and clean the cylinder wall of burrs and scuffs, replace the o-ring on the piston with a new one, polish up the piston as well removing ALL burrs, then clean the entire unit in diesel or similar until you are sure that no dirt is present (very small pieces can make it stick), then reasemble the unit and replace it on the tractor, let the oil fill hole open, cycle your 2 point and add fluid as nessecary then replace the cap, it all of this doesnt work, try again and again because this is it unless you blew the seal out of your hydraulic pump, just check your engine oil to see if there is ALOT of extra oil, if there is then the seal is bad, it is easy to fix just remove the pump then the gear and so on. hope this all works because it is a rough system to work on but thats what is wrong with it because it have been through it.
