My dad sold the farm that had been our family homestead since my great-great grandparents came to America. He sold the place before I was born, and kicked himself in the rear everyday after. The farm is only 5 miles from my home and If I can ever come up with enough money, I will own it. I have many old pictures of the place and would love for them to hang on the walls of the old house. Hang onto your place and teach your kids the value of keeping it in the family.
