Slow Hydraulics

I have put a loader on my 450 diesel that has one way cylinders for the lift and manual trip bucket. I plumbed one outlet of the right front hydraulic valves that are located under the fuel tank. I made a "T" so that the hoses could run to both cylinders on the loader. I also turned the adjustment nut on the main hydraulic unit itself so as to make the port a single acting unit. It lifts just fine but takes forever to lower. It is not under pressure to lower and it does not strain to lower - it just comes down ever so slowly and it doesn't matter if there is a load in the bucket or not. I did not have this problem when I had the loader on the 400 some time ago and the hydraulics are the same (except for the power steering). Any ideas from anyone? Thanks. Chuck
