Hugh I think if IH came out with the 86 series intead of the 66 series they would most likely still be around. The 86's would have been a good next step up from the 56's. I was dissapointed in my 1566. Deere at the time had the 4630, a friend of my Dad's had a new one the same year as my 1566 and I must admit is was quite a bit more operator oriented as far as comfort goes. The 86's would have been a good competitor for the 30 series Deere. As for the drawbars, the 656 and larger tractors came with a telescoping swing drawbar, much like the three point tractors had.
