I live west of Kansas City about 30 miles and work in KC. We farmed all over Leavenworth County years ago and cut way back in the hard time 80's. That is when I went to town to work. Dad still farms on a smaller scale, no row crops anymore just brome and fescue hay. He sells hay, has no cattle, semi retired. I help him out when I can just to keep my feet and it is good stress relief, getting on the tractors and tinkering with them.
