Your 6 volt generator will put out 12 volts. It will charge a 12 volt battery if you get the right voltage regulator. Just remember you are working it extra hard to get that voltage. If your "power" output is low (dont pull too many amps) it will be o.k. But if you try to get 10-15 amps out of it, it will overheat and eventually the generator will crap out. Also remember that most 6 volt generators are positive ground? If you put on a new regulator and 12 volt battery, would be best to continue + ground.
