rear rims in the m parts book say 9" rim for 10 x 38 tire, 10" rim for 11x38 tire, 11" rim for 12x38 tire. in the 400 parts book it lists 12" rim for 13x38 tire, this is a double bevel rim, not a drop center rim that would fit on an m wheel. these are all "old" tire sizes, 12x38 would now be 13.6x38. i have been around a lot of these old tractors and have never had a 12" drop center rim. the tire companies standard seems to be that the tire is one size wider than the rim. this is why you get 11" drop center rims now to fit a 13.6x38 tire. a few years back someone got a wheel company to make 14" drop center rims so tractor pullers could use 15.5x38 tires without cutting and widening their old rims.
