Not having seen this type of axle in person I would seriously doubt IH would make anything very drasticly different for this machine. To change it over to a regular M rear axle use the parts off another M, or if cant find use at least outer caps and axle shafts from a SM/SMTA/400/450/560, they will all interchange, so will axle housings, bearings inner and outer will interchange, you will find different styles such roller bearings from 560, (famous update part from rear end fiasco), look at ball count, the more the better, I worked on these back in the days of mounted corn pickers at IH dealer from 60/85.
