We still grow tobacco, but not near as much as we used to, only about 4 acres last year. My brother wanted to raise a little on his own, he is either gonna make alot of money or no money this year after all that buyout occured. It's a real shame that buyout came about. Southern Maryland was made/known for it's tobacco at one time. Lots of small "tobacco" farms still around, though hardly anyone grows much anymore. Something like 80 some-odd percent of tobacco farmers took the buyout. Shoot me an email if ya want.
